The City of Albany, NY seeks a qualified arborist to serve as Assistant City Arborist. The Assistant Arborist will work with the City Arborist to implement and oversee Albany’s City-wide Block Pruning Program.  Duties will include assigning work to contractors and inspecting their work; approving payment requests; drafting technical specifications; managing contracts and Urban Forestry grants.  Supervision of subordinate staff and/or contractors will be required.  A Valid NYS driver’s license and ISA Arborist certification are required.
