Mental health issues and substance abuse disorders affect everyone in our community, including our employees. Our speaker, Lori McCarthy, will lead an important conversation on how mental health and substance abuse impact the workforce. Learn how you, as a tree and landscape company leader, can identify unhealthy behaviors, support your team, and keep the workplace safe and productive. Treatment, recovery, and prevention will be addressed, and well as company morale and other critical considerations. Bring your experiences, your questions, and be ready to expand your knowledge on this important issue.

After the positive feedback we've received about networking that took place at Fall Field Day in September 2023, we're glad to offer a combined MAA and MALP membership meeting.  We hope you can join us for this important discussion and come away with new contacts, meaningful connections and valuable information.

Herren Wellness
Seekonk, MA

About our speaker: Lori McCarthy has 20 years of experience working with those facing the disease of addiction. She is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Certified Arise Family Interventionist (CAI). Prior to taking the helm at Herren Wellness, she was a member of the Senior Management team at Gosnold on Cape Cod, an addiction and mental healthcare organization. During her tenure she developed and implemented a recovery management program, which received the Tufts Health Plan Innovation Award in 2014.  Additionally, she put hospital emergency room opiate intervention services into action at South Shore Hospital. The program supported ER medical staff in response to the opioid crisis, through recovery coaching specialists, by initiating treatment referrals for substance use disorder patients.
