Beech Leaf Disease (BLD) has been found in 90 Massachusetts communities since it was first discovered in 2020. Caused by a mysterious nematode, BLD is fast becoming a top concern in arboriculture today. Dr. Matthew Borden and the team at Bartlett have been at the forefront of BLD management trials for several years, learning from both impressive failures and the first exciting successes. He will address the biology and life cycle of the nematode pest, as well as how to best approach possible management strategies.
