Join fellow MAA members and expert instructors for a series of rigorous tree climbing demonstrations and top-notch instruction on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

The mature oaks on The German Club in Walpole, MA offer excellent opportunities to demonstrate modern climbing techniques – from the basics and beyond – all geared for the new to the experienced climber.

Tree climbing expert and safety coach, Melissa LeVangie-Ingersoll, MCA, will lead a team of industry experts who will offer instruction on everything from throwline installation and task specific knots to Stationary Rope Systems (SRS) and descent systems. Interactive workshop stations will feature the latest methods, technology, and mechanicals designed to improve climber skills, and productivity.  Basic equipment uses, care, and safety will be emphasized.

When the workshop wraps up, we’ll enjoy a delicious summer barbecue at The German Club’s Biergarten.
