Dr. Cheryl Smith is the Plant Health Specialist with UNH Cooperative Extension, and Director of the UNH Plant Diagnostic Lab, which provides diagnostic services for plant health issues to commercial producers, landscapers, tree care specialists, and home gardeners.  She has been a diagnostic and Extension plant pathologist for over 30 years. In addition, Cheryl teaches Plant Pathology at UNH, and provides outreach education and training throughout New England.  Cheryl has trained over 2500 Master Gardener’s in the NH, MA and Boston (Urban) Master Gardener programs.  She has given more than 475 presentations as an invited speaker at many conferences, workshops and meetings throughout the Northeast. Cheryl is an avid gardener, who loves getting her ‘hands dirty’, talking to trees and sharing her love of plants (and plant pathology) with everyone.
