Hear the latest on the benefits and drawbacks of field-grown and containerized growing systems, and how to align these methods to meet your tree planting objectives and plant health care management strategies.

About our speaker

Richard W. Harper is an Extension Associate Professor of Urban & Community Forestry in the UMass Department of Environmental Conservation. He serves as the current President of the International Society of Arboriculture, New England Chapter, and is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. He has an MS in Entomology and is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Environmental Conservation.


Join us as MAA honors Richard Herfurth, MCA with the 2019 VISTA Award. Richard will be recognized for his significant contributions to MAA and the arboriculture community at large.


We'll be making our final plans for Arbor Day of Service.
Volunteers are invited to join a job site briefing at 5:00 PM this evening.
