Forest Health Update: What to Expect this Season
Catch up on the latest tree health concerns in Massachusetts. Ken Gooch will share up-to-the-minute information on Gypsy moth, Emerald ash borer, hemlock wooly adelgid, and expectations of the southern pine beetle should it become established in our area. He'll also address the spotted lantern fly, white pine disease issues, and will provide an update on the Asian longhorned beetle eradication in Worcester County. See examples of how our trees are impacted by these issues and learn management strategies to employ this season.

CEUs: MCA, Pesticide & ISA
If you wish to earn pesticide credit, please bring a photo ID and your pesticide license number with you to the meeting.

Our speaker is Ken Gooch, the Forest Health Program Director for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The Forest Health Program provides tree health care services for DCR's state forests, parks, and reservations. Ken has worked at the DCR for 34 years.
