TICK SAFETY FOR TREE CARE PROFESSIONALS

As tree care professionals, we spend a great deal of time outdoors. It's essential that we gain a better understanding of ticks in order to avoid the serious consequences of tick-borne diseases. At this seminar, you'll learn about ticks' behavior and life cycles and how ticks relate to the environment. We'll review effective safety strategies including tick checks, proper removal techniques, and various ways to defend yourself, including clothing and repellents.

TREES & THE LAW

Sooner of later, one of your clients will have a legal dilemma involving a tree. In both public and private settings, trees are often a contentious issue. Join us as we review core legal principles arborists should be mindful of when working on trees and shrubs. Tom Brady, MCA will lead the discussion. After 30 years in business and 20 years as a public official, Tom has encountered all manners of tree-related legal issues. In his various roles, he has been called upon to consult, testify, and mediate disputes. Brush up on tree law guidelines, learn to analyze situations, and gain knowledge from your colleagues' experiences in this participatory session.
